Why You Can Be A Success in Internet Marketing

Why You Can Succeed in Internet Marketing!

11:02 pm

What an inspiration it was watching the Lost Voice Guy on TV’s Britain’s Got Talent on Sunday night.

A man who can’t talk, sing, dance or play an instrument won the final of a popular TV Talent Show and thus proving that difficult challenges can be overcome.

When he first appeared I thought “OMG! What’s he going to do.

He turned out to be a very funny man. It was incredible watching his performance.

Have a look at the video below.

Against a wonderful array of talent he was announced as the winner in the public vote on the Final night and to see the delight on his face was fantastic.

It made me think.

I have had a number of problems with websites and emails not working and I was falling behind in my Partnership to Success Programme which I started recently with John Thornhill.

I was worried if I was ever going to be able to create my own product and have a successful launch such as John Thornhill has done many times

Then I thought my problems are nothing. After watching the Lost Voice Guy and seen what he has had to overcome, it is possible for anyone to achieve what they really want.

He shows what can be achieved with the right mindset, the right help and the right attitude and belief in yourself.

When I joined the Partnership to Success Programme, one of the first things I was asked to do was to read a book called The Go Giver and I loved the philosophy taught in this book.

I thought John Thornhill must be a good guy if he is adopting the attitude of giving more value than people expect and following all the principles in this book.

He has had a tremendous success rate with his students and I am really enjoying what I am learning. Just disappointed I have fallen a few weeks behind because of computer and other website problems which has taken a lot of time to resolve.

Although I have had a number of successes online I also have had many challenges and I was starting to wonder if I could really achieve what I really wanted.

However, the Lost Voice Guy made me realise that my problems were minor and he has inspired me to forget the problems and just focus on learning as much as I can so that I can also inspire others who want to have a successful business online.

I am now focused on adding more content to this blog on a regular basis to help other people follow the path to success online by giving you useful tips and information so that you will get value from visiting this site.

If you have ever had any doubts about being successful online, why not let John Thornhill help you like he is helping me, by showing you why you can succeed with Internet Marketing.

little story

Little Story With A Moral

5:52 pm

I loved this story that I recently read in an article by Alun Hill.

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting and doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him,
“Can I also sit like you and do nothing?”

The eagle answered.

“Of course you can, why not?”

So the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested.

All of a sudden a fox came along, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

The moral of this story is.

To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Are You Looking For New Ways to Increase Traffic To Your Blog or Website?

7:24 pm

john thornhillIt wasn’t long ago that John Thornhill was
looking for new ways to increase traffic to his
business to build subscribers and revenue.

He invested in new products, training, coaching
and a whole host of other products to help get
MORE TRAFFIC.

But then disaster! He was banned from Google
for no reason.

With no word of warning and no way of finding
out why, he thought his business was doomed.

This motivated John to create his own traffic without
Google.

What happened next was amazing.

Not only did John crush it with traffic, he went
on to create over 1 Billion hits to his websites
last year and has earned in excess of 5 million
dollars online.

This is nothing short of amazing and the good news
is that now John is sharing his story so you and I can
learn from his experience.

The most important part of your business is your
customers and leads so relying totally on Google is
very risky to say the least.

This is why John stopped relying on Google or any
third party traffic source and got down to business.

Check out the rest of John Thornhill’s story right
here. You won’t be disappointed.

Even better news is that John is allowing me to offer visitors to my blog
a whopping 90% discount.

What Are Joint Ventures?

4:54 pm

When you decided to enter into online business, you may have thought that you were moving away from business-speak (what many would not-so-affectionately think of as “business mumbo jumbo”).

While you will be able to move away from a great deal of business-speak by entering the world of online business, there are still a few key terms you will need to make sure you understand.

One such term that you are likely to come across every so often in your online business pursuits is “joint venture.” A very basic definition of a joint venture is, that it is the cooperation of two or more businesses or individuals, in which each party shares profits, losses, and control in a single venture with the other. There are plenty of “real world” examples of successful (and long-standing) joint ventures, but when it comes to online business and online marketing, the specifics of what a joint venture entails are a bit different.

joint venture

Generally speaking, the alliance established by a joint venture is intended to be for a specific project (or for a set period of time).

And in online marketing, this “specific project” is often the pairing of one person or business that has a great product to sell and another person or business that has a great list of leads. By joining forces with one another, the two parties are able to take what they do best and align it with what someone else does best.

Another way in which the Internet enables joint ventures is by giving each party a ready platform (that is, their website, and the customers who regularly visit it!) from which they can promote the products of another company.

When two or more businesses enter into one such joint venture, they can cross-promote for one another – encouraging their own customers to check out the products and services of the business (or businesses) with whom they have entered this joint venture.

Building a Facebook Business Page is Easy

10:06 pm

George McGillivray here. I wanted to share this article with you about Facebook.

If you want an engaging Facebook business page, here’s what you need to know:

One: Don’t confuse business pages with personal profiles.

If you create a personal profile for your brand instead of a Facebook Business Page, you’re going to miss out on content creation tools, analytics and paid promotional opportunities.

Worse yet, people will have to send you a friend request before they can engage with you.

Two: Don’t create a ‘professional profile’ associated with your business.

Let’s say you have a personal profile on Facebook and you want a second profile for professional reasons. This goes against Facebook’s terms of service and could get you in trouble.

Three: Choose a friendly, engaging cover photo.

This cover photo takes up most of the room above the fold on your Page, so you’ll want a high-quality image that attracts and holds your visitors’ attention.

You might consider hiring a professional to create this image for you.

Keep words in the image brief and to the point.

Faces work well at holding attention, and bright colors are good, too.

Four: Use a profile picture that’s easy to recognize.

It could be your logo or your headshot if you’re the face of your company.

Being recognizable is important to getting found and liked, so choose your picture carefully and then use it consistently.

Five: Fill out your ‘About’ section.

This isn’t visible anymore when visitors arrive on your page, yet it’s still one of the most clicked-on items when they want more information about your business.

Put in your general description, company information, your story or whatever fits for your business.

Six: Add a call-to-action button.

This is a great way to drive traffic to your website and build your list. Your call-to-action button might be to have visitors watch a video, sign up to your list and so forth.

Seven: Post often, but not too often.

If you don’t post for months at a time, then your business does not look professional. Heck, you don’t even appear to be in business anymore.

But if you post non-stop, you’ll likely annoy people.

It’s a matter of finding that happy medium, and that can vary from one business to another.

Eight: If you have the time to respond, then let fans message you privately.

It’s an awesome idea to let your customers and fans send you private messages – this can result in better customer service, fewer complaints made publicly and even more sales.

However, if you don’t have time to respond to these private messages then it might be best not to enable private messaging.

Nine: Monitor your page and respond to comments promptly.

You can monitor and respond to comments using the ‘notifications’ tab at the top of the page.

Ten: Pin important posts to the top of the page.

As you post, older posts get pushed down and buried. But there are times when you want a post to remain at the top, even after you’ve published new posts.

You can pin one post at a time and use these to promote events, offers and announcements.

Eleven: Post visual content in your Timeline.

Photos and videos are up to 40 times more likely to get shared on social media, so take advantage of this fact and share lots of visual content.

Twelve: Consider using live video.

People typically spend more than three times more time watching a Facebook Live video than they do a recorded video.

Thirteen: Use Facebook’s targeting tools.

You can target certain audiences with tailor-made updates. Segment by age, gender, relationship, location and so forth, and then send highly targeted messages to those groups for a greater response.

Fourteen: Promote your page. A lot.

Create an ad to promote your page, choose your target audience and choose your budget. Make sure your ad is directly targeted to your ideal customer and test.

Fifteen: Measure your success.

Dig into your page’s insights to track Facebook-specific engagement metrics. Analyze and adjust as needed.

It might all sound complicated, but you’ll quickly get the hang of everything here.

Discover how to engage and excite new customers into taking action and spending money with you by using these simple free marketing tips.

The Two Keys To Success

11:50 am

I came across this article this morning and really liked it.

It was written by By Tim Davis president of The UPS Store.

Here’s what he said and I hope like me you think it makes a lot of sense

“In my experience working with small businesses, most people seem to think you have to simply be smart to have a successful business. While being smart helps, and a good brain can make decisions easier, two other body parts are far better indicators of whether you will make it.

Here’s what matters more:

Your belly.
Your ears.
First, without fire in the belly, you lack enthusiasm. If you don’t have the passion to overcome setbacks or to motivate you through boring or tough times, you won’t have the grit required for the long haul. Entrepreneurship relies mostly on that spirit of determination and passion. And let’s face it, without enthusiasm in the world of hard work, all you’re left with is hard work. Who notices this the most? Your customers and your associates. I’ve seen fire in the belly carry businesses to success when weaker constitutions gave up long before.

Second, your ears. Without listening you can’t make business personal. Your customers tell you a lot of what you need to know. Yes, you might have to initiate dialogue now and again. You may have to pitch your product or service frequently. But in the course of business – if you’re listening – your customers will communicate the most valuable information on how to grow your business. For example, one owner may hear a customer complaint, but a successful owner hears an opportunity to improve services, introduce new features, or to make a customer for life by righting a wrong.

As president of The UPS Store, I see how important these qualities are on a daily basis. I see our new franchisees inevitably come up against scenarios they didn’t expect. I know how challenging it is for anybody to develop all the different skills – management, marketing, accounting, IT and more — required to make even a small franchise business thrive.

But I also see people overcome those challenges. In fact, the single most satisfying part of my job is helping our franchisees cope with the always changing, always urgent demands of their jobs. Nothing is more exciting than hearing a formerly struggling franchisee tell me he or she is well over the hump and now wants to open another location.

I think I was lucky, as a teenager, to work at a small pizza joint, U.S. Pizza Co., in Little Rock, Arkansas. That’s because the business – which started as just a few tables on the site of a burned out clock shop – was run by one Judy Waller Breece.

Judy is the embodiment of what it takes to succeed in small business – and perhaps in any endeavor. When she started her pizza place she was a young 20-something, who’d grown up on a farm and possessed the salt-of-the-earth work ethic found in people with that background. Judy knew she had a lot to learn about business and her pure enthusiasm motivated her to spend 17-hour days learning it. The fire in her belly was always burning, and I saw firsthand as a teenager how she used it on a daily basis to succeed and grow.

She was always “on.” Nothing got past her. Judy saw everything her employees did and pointed out every mistake – not in a bad way, but in one that said, “Every detail is important and I respect you enough to help you do better.” It helped that she demanded even more of herself than she did of others. She did every job there was to do at U.S. Pizza – including cook.

Judy always paid attention. She listened to her customers and made it a habit to find out what they really thought of their dining experience. No perfunctory inquiries for her; she often sat down with the regulars at her establishment so she could have a real conversation with them. She believed they made her life easier when they told her what they really thought.

She was right about that too. Genuine, real-time feedback is critical to improvement. I learned that myself while in the U.S. Marine Corps, where I spent seven years before entering the business world. In the military your leaders are constantly critical; it’s part of the culture where feedback leads to improvements that may save lives. I think that helps explain why people with military backgrounds make great candidates for franchisees and small business ownership.

In any event, the likelihood that a business owner will actually get genuine, thorough feedback depends in part on the nature of his or her relationship with the customer. Having a personal tie – the kind Judy established by sitting down with her pizza establishment’s “regulars” – fosters candor.

It also nurtures the kind of relationship customers want. They want to feel that the business owner cares about them and has a commitment to their success, that the owner is their ally and champion. And for the small business owner too, much of the potential joy in the enterprise comes from establishing that kind of strong human connection. It is by no means all about the money. The satisfaction small business owners can derive from knowing they are really helping their customers and their community is immense.

But these relationships don’t develop unless small business owners make the most of their ears. Today Judy’s small businesses isn’t so small. It went from a single pizza place to 10 locations, four additional licensees, and a developing franchise operation.

It’s not all that complicated: your belly and your ears. If you enter small business with those two things going for you, you have the most important ingredients you need to flourish.”

the slight edge

The Slight Edge

11:26 pm

I would like to tell you about a book I read, that made a big impact on my life.

It made me realise why success doesn’t just happen overnight.

Some people wander through life like a ship without a rudder, waiting for some big chance or huge deal that will change their life.

Do you know anyone like that?

The “Slight Edge” taught me, that it is the little things you do every day, that makes a very big difference.

Not just in business but in relationships as well.

No success is immediate, no collapse is sudden.

They are both the result of the slight edge accruing momentum over time.

Once you get into the habit of doing the right “little things” every day, you will soon notice a difference.

I highly recommend a read of the book ”The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson

I actually read a few pages of the Kindle version of the book every day.

It could be while I am travelling on a train or sitting in the car or anywhere I have a few minutes and access to my mobile phone.

The slight edge is the process every winner has used to succeed since the dawn of time.

The book explains how you can develop a slight edge in anything you want to do.
